Providing Practitioner Connection focused on

Collaboration over Competition

Josephine Thomason and Sarah Gallander are Board Certified Functional Nutritionists and hold ten different certifications across specialties to include full body systems, digestion, toxicity & detox, metabolism, functional blood chemistry, and Lyme patient advocacy. They recognized that new functional nutrition practitioners often face challenges in their practice that limits their ability to provide optimal solutions for clients' nutritional and wellness needs.

To address this need, Josephine and Sarah founded the Functional Nutrition Collective (FxNC), an innovative model where functional medicine practitioners joined together in a group practice to share costs, support each other in business decisions, standardize client care approaches, and deepen their knowledge to elevate care quality. Along the way, they saw the value of broader collaboration with other specialized functional practitioners to enrich learning, gain new insights, and enhance client-centered care. This vision led to the creation of the Functional Practitioner Network (FxPN), a community that welcomes practitioners at all levels to collaborate and provide continuous, comprehensive care for clients.

Sarah holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, Biology and Chemistry and Josephine has a Master's Degree in Nutrition Education & Health Promotion and is a licensed Registered Dietitian. Their commitment to collaboration over competition strengthens the role of each practitioner in the Collective ultimately serving clients and providing a highly customized experience for both practitioner and client.
